TVEMS has partnered with the McKee Wellness Foundation, McKee Medical Center, the CardioVascular Institute of North Colorado, the Loveland Police Department, Loveland Fire Rescue Authority and the City of Loveland’s emergency dispatch services department, to become a designated “Heart Safe City.”
The “Heart Safe Community” designation, sponsored by the American Heart Association, is a community wide effort to educate citizens on the dangers of Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA). Identifying symptoms, learning how to administer cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), and using automated external defibrillators (AEDs) are major components of the “Heart Safe City” designation.

AED Scavenger Hunt in Loveland!
Thompson Valley EMS has partnered with the McKee Wellness Foundation as a HeartSafe Community on an AED Scavenger Hunt in Loveland from now until May 15! Here’s how to enter:
Step 1: Download the PulsePoint AED app using this QR code –ON POSTER à
Step 2: Using the app, register an AED in the Loveland community. Maybe you have one in your office, or you’ve seen one in your gym. Wherever it is, we want to know about it!
Step 3: When prompted, enter your email address and information in the app after you register your AED.
Step 4: You will automatically be entered into a weekly drawing for gift cards from local Loveland businesses! The more AEDs you register, the more entries you get! Keep an eye out in your email to see if you’ve won!
