Chief Randy Lesher

You must first complete EMT school, which is approximately 150 hours / roughly 6 months
of intense training. In addition you must complete training for IV Certification.

You will then work as an EMT somewhere
between 1 and 5 years with on the job training,
as you prepare for Paramedic school.
Paramedic school is roughly 1300 hours
of extensive Advanced Life Saving Skills.

Here at TVEMS our Paramedics take on many
roles, from patient caregiver and advocate, to
facilitator, instructor & mentor.
We are proud of the level of expertise and professionalism
our Paramedics bring to our organization and into our community.
