SUMMARY:First on the Scene (FOTS)
DESCRIPTION:The First on the Scene (FOTS) course was developed by the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians (NAEMT) and the International Association of Fire Chiefs (IAFC). Instructors teach course participants the skills for basic emergency response to life-threatening emergencies. Community members will learn how to activate 911 and provide the tools to initiate help in the event of a life-threatening emergency until EMS crews arrive on scene. This course is presented in partnership between Thompson Valley EMS and Loveland Fire Rescue Authority, hosted at LFRA Station 7. Registration is open to residents in Western Loveland and the Canyon area.
